Eligibility

Partnership Criteria

We seek partners who share our commitment to quality, innovation, and student outcomes. These criteria ensure a productive collaboration:

1

Degree-Awarding Authority

Your institution must hold the legal authority to award postgraduate qualifications in your jurisdiction (or have a validated pathway to do so).

2

Quality Assurance Standing

You must be recognised by a national or regional quality assurance body (e.g. QAA, TEQSA, NZQA, SAQA, AACSB, or equivalent).

3

Faculty Capacity

A minimum of two academic staff with relevant expertise (tourism, events, business, economics, data analytics, or related disciplines) to deliver and assess programmes.

4

Institutional Commitment

Senior leadership buy-in — a named academic champion and administrative sponsor willing to shepherd the programme through internal governance.

5

Learning Infrastructure

An operational LMS, video conferencing capability, and student support systems. ISET provides the intelligence platform; you provide the teaching environment.

Profiles

Ideal Partner Profiles

There is no single “type” of ISET partner. We work with institutions across different contexts, sizes, and strategic priorities:

The Ambitious Newcomer

An institution looking to differentiate through a genuinely novel programme area. You may have tourism or business faculties but no event tourism specialism. You see the strategic value of being first-to-market.

The Established Tourism School

An institution with a strong tourism or hospitality portfolio seeking to add a strategic, intelligence-led layer above operational training. Event tourism fills the gap between events management and destination strategy.

The International Business School

A school seeking distinctive postgraduate offerings in the experience economy. Event tourism sits at the intersection of strategy, marketing, economics, and cultural intelligence — a natural fit for MBA or MSc portfolios.

The Regional Polytechnic

An applied-sciences institution that values practical, portfolio-driven education. ISET programmes produce consulting-grade outputs, not just academic essays — ideal for institutions focused on employability.
