Financial Support & Access
World-class education should not be the privilege of those who can already afford it. ISET’s scholarship programme exists to ensure that talent, not circumstance, determines who benefits from intelligence-led event tourism education.
Equity Over Exclusivity
The event tourism industry operates globally. Its workforce is global. Its educational infrastructure must be equally global — and that means addressing economic barriers that prevent talented individuals from accessing postgraduate education.
ISET’s scholarship programme is not charity. It is strategic investment in the diversity of the profession. The industry benefits when its future leaders come from every geography, every background, and every economic circumstance.
If the best candidate for a programme cannot afford to attend, the programme has failed — not the candidate.
How We Support Students Financially
Full Scholarships
Cover the full cost of the ISET curriculum licence fee (partner university tuition is separate and may have its own bursary schemes). Awarded on merit, need, or a combination.
Outstanding candidates who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need.
Partial Scholarships
Cover a portion of the curriculum licence fee, reducing the financial barrier while ensuring the institution remains sustainable.
Candidates who demonstrate financial need or meet specific diversity criteria.
Corporate-Sponsored Awards
Funded by industry partners who sponsor employees or external candidates. The sponsoring organisation covers the cost; the recipient studies with employer support.
Nominated by a sponsoring employer or selected through a corporate partnership programme.
Regional Access Grants
Targeted support for candidates from regions where the cost of postgraduate education represents a disproportionate economic burden.
Candidates from low and lower-middle income countries (World Bank classification).
Research Fellowships
Support for candidates pursuing research-intensive pathways who intend to contribute to the discipline through original scholarship.
Candidates with a strong research proposal aligned with ISET research priorities.
