Day 2: Strategy & Economics

Destination event strategy case studies (Singapore, Dubai, Edinburgh), economic impact methodology — CGE modelling, Tourism Satellite Accounts — and building an investment business case.

Day 3: Intelligence & Live Experience

Hands-on AI-powered event intelligence tools, building a real intelligence dashboard for your own destination or organisation, and a structured live event site visit at the host city.

Day 4: Commercial & Sustainability

Commercial rights architecture, sponsorship and media-rights valuation, a buyer-seller negotiation simulation, and ISO 20121 sustainability practice.

Day 5: Leadership & Certification

Policy and future-trends masterclass, a "Big Idea" pitch judged by an industry panel, and the CETP Certification Ceremony.

8-Week Portfolio of Professional Practice

Following the intensive: a Strategic Reflection, an Applied Project using GETI methodology for your own organisation, a publishable Thought Leadership piece, and a 3-year CPD plan.

Professional Viva (30–45 minutes, mandatory)

Portfolio defence, cross-domain synthesis, and professional judgement scenarios, assessed by 2 ISET assessors plus an External Industry Examiner independent of ISET.

8-Domain Competency Framework

Every portfolio component and viva question maps to one of 8 competency domains. Certification requires demonstrating “Competent” level across all 8, and “Distinguished” level in at least 4.
